Two-thirds = four sixths
One half fills 3 parts. The extra part is ⅓ of another half. So ⅔ ÷ ½ = 1⅓.
Walk through the lesson
A family project, with the hope that it can help other families, too.

I built Mom's Math Rescue while helping my child with sixth-grade math. We needed a way to slow the problems down, see the numbers move, and understand why each step made sense.
Knowing the answer was only part of the work. We wanted to see the decimals line up, the fractions break into pieces, and the steps take shape on the page—just like working with pencil and paper.
As we built explanations together, I wanted to give them a home that other families could use. My hope is that this space helps students feel more confident asking questions and gives parents, caregivers, and anyone supporting them a useful place to start.

We're beginning with sixth-grade math. Each new collection adds more ways to see an idea, practice a skill, and connect it to what you've learned before.
20 guided lessons in Week 8, plus four focused Week 7 walkthroughs. Explore fractions, decimals, ratios, integers, equations, data, and more.
Room to grow. As this library develops, we'll add more weeks, topics, and grades. Sixth grade is our starting point; the goal is a resource that can grow with the learning.
Bring your questions, grab a pencil, and take it one step at a time. If this helps your family, you're welcome to share it with someone else.
